Zip Line Tara River

Zip line was created as a need for residents of mountainous areas to cross rivers and gorges where it was not possible to build bridges, and in the last twenty years it has gained its sport and recreational vision. The procedure is simple, the cable is placed between two hills, and visitors can descend from one hill to the other, with an unforgettable dose of adrenaline and the opportunity to see the beauty of the canyon from a whole new angle.
There are several zip lines next to the bridge Djurdjevića Tara. The length of the cable ranges from 350 meters to 1200 meters.The flight speed ranges from 40-120 km/h and the flight time is 40-120 seconds depending on the user’s weight. Zip line is located about 150 – 170 meters above the Tara river. Zip line equipment is from the world’s most renowned manufacturers and what is most important is that driving safety is guaranteed. This exciting ride gives you a breathtaking view of the Tara river canyon (the canyon is 80 kilometers long, 1300 meters deep in its deepest place, and is the deepest canyon in Europe, and the second deepest in the world – just behind Kolarod canyon. It’s protected within Durmitor national park and is under the protection of UNESCO), as well as a magnificent and grandiose bridge, by its construction (the bridge was built in 1937 and completed in 1940. The highest scaffolding in the world was erected for the purpose of construction, which is a record that has not been broken to this day. Bridge has five arches, the largest is 116 meters wide.The bridge is 160 meters high)

• Day of the excursion: monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday.
• Departure from Tivat by appointment.
• The journey continues through Kamenari and Lipci. A short photo break above Risan from where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Boka bay with the two little islands near Perast.Then we slowly cross the continental part of Montenegro through a magical mountain landscape. Photo break above Salt lake near Nikšić. The destination takes us via Nikšić, Šavnik and Žabljak.
• After 3 hours and 30 minutes of drive and more photo breaks on the most beautiful viewpoints you can imagine, we arrive at the DjurdjevićaTara bridge.There we stay for 2-3 hours.
• Driving on zip line.
• The rest of the time can be used for sightseeing, photography and lunch at one of the restaurants located in the
  immediate vicinity of the magnificent bridge.
• Return to Tivat.
