Mojkovac is a city and the center of the municipality of the same name in Montenegro, located in the valley of the Tara River at the foot of the Bjelasica and Sinjavina mountains, and belongs to the hills of the northeastern part of the Republic of Montenegro between the Biogradska gora and Durmitor national parks. It covers an area of 367 km2 with about 11,000 inhabitants. It is 90 km from Mojkovac to Podgorica, and 380 km to Belgrade. Mojkovac is connected to other places by the Adriatic highway, the Belgrade-Bar railway and the regional road to Žabljak-Pljevlja. The altitude of Mojkovac is 820 meters, and the altitudes of the municipality are from 750 to 2,033 meters. The Tara river flows through Mojkovac, whose canyon is the second deepest in the world, and is protected by UNESCO.
