Ostrog Monastery is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church located along an almost vertical cliff, high on the mountain Ostroška greda in Montenegro. It is dedicated to Saint Vasilij Ostroški. The Ostrog Monastery consists of the Upper and Lower Monastery. It is located in the area of Bjelopavlić, belongs to the municipality of Danilovgrad and is located in a vertical rock, from which there is a view of the plain of Bjelopavlić. It was founded by the Herzegovinian Metropolitan Vasilije in the 17th century, who was buried there, and was later canonized. He is a Saint Miracle Worker. His body begins life in the cave church. Ostrog Monastery is one of the most visited in southern Europe. It is attended by believers of all religions from all over the world.
